Dave is originally from Ohio (Go Browns!), but school and work pulled him west. He earned a B.S. in Biology from South Dakota State University and an M.S. in Fish and Wildlife Management from Montana State University. He joined the Department in 2000, and has worked in the fish research branch evaluating different types of Chinook salmon supplementation including; the Chinook Salmon Captive Rearing project, the Idaho Supplementation Studies program and the Chinook Salmon integrated broodstock research biologist. He is excited to add sockeye to his life-list of species he has worked with. Dave’s fishing and hunting buddy recently went off to college, so he is looking forward to showing his wife, Anne, the ins and outs of catfishing on the Snake River and hosting a revolving cast of characters in his duck blind this fall.
